Saffia walks from Big Brother

So, Saffia has walked from this year's Big Brother following a bust-up with Sophia (by the way, can we find housemates with wildly differing names next year please...Sophie, Sophia and Saffia all in one house ain't funny).
You can watch the video of the bust up on www.channel4.com/bigbrother . Sophia is a nasty piece of work. She will almost certainly go on Friday. She took an instant (and seemingly unfounded) dislike to Saffia which has been bubbling under the surface since day two.
Anyway, I suppose this gives us the chance of getting a new male, goodlooking BB housemate!
I would be happy if any of the following random men from the interweb were located and put in to the house (please!?):

Big Brother - First thoughts

OK, so I think it's safe to say that the people casting Big Brother are a bunch of straight men. As per usual, we get the four or five fit girls and no (or very little) male eye candy.

I don't think the producers are aware that the majority of the viewers of their show are gay men and straight girls. Such a shame.

Anyway. Some initial impressions on this year's 'non' housemates:

Freddie - Seems ok on the surface. He didn't give a great first impression (but then, most don't). However, his enthusiastic and non-judgmental welcome of the rest of the housemates was quite nice to see.

Lisa - Definitely one of the more masculine women I have ever seen. She will go one of two ways - she will either turn out to have a heart of gold or will be aggressive and 'rebellious'.

Charlie - Fair play to him...he's a good looking lad with nice eyes and an accent that can make me melt. Shame he's not straight. Then he would be perfect.

Beinazir - Worst. Muslim. Ever.

Angel - Perhaps one of the weirdest entrances I've seen in a while. Kinda spooked me out a little bit...but definitely one to watch.

The rest, we will have to wait and see. Check back often for more thoughts and to share your opinions in the comments section...

Final thought - was it me or was the atmosphere seriously lacking with that crowd?

Big Brother...top ten moments, part two

4) Helen and Paul - A love story
Who can forget the way true romance blossomed between Helen and Paul in BB2? All that talk in code about wanting to do 'stuff' made my heart melt. Love. Them.

3) Cameron Stout goes to Africa

You've just got to love Cameron. No matter what you think of BB4 (one of the dullest in history), you can't deny that Cameron was just a down to earth, nice guy. Christianity aside (not a fan), Cameron himself came across as likeable and endearing. His swap time with BB Africa was a highlight of the series.

2) Brian Dowling wins

I unashamedly admit, I loved Brian. He was one of the best housemates in BB history. Funny, endearing, vunerable and insecure in equal measure. Thumbs up.

1) Nadia Almada wins Big Brother

I'm not going to get too sentimental here, but I completely and utterly loved Nadia and the fact that she won Big Brother showed a level of acceptance I didn't believe the British public would be capable of. Nobody can tell me that she was expecting it. You can see by her face that it was a bolt from the blue. One of the most beautiful moments ever. I could watch it over and over again.

Big Brother...top ten moments, part one

So, it's that time of the year again when the teasers of Big Brother begin and I start to become a little too overexcited at the prospect of another summer lost to obsession over housemates in the Big Brother compound.

It's one TV show that I am sure to become worked up about. If you decide to follow this blog regularly, you will see what I mean.
Anyway, I thought I would round up my top ten Big Brother moments:

10) Anthony and Craig - Unrequited love
There is nothing I can relate to more than the unreturned love of a straight man. It's a deep pain, but at least when it's happened to me, it didn't happen in front of the nation. Poor Craig.

9) Helen Adams - I like blinking I do.
Single-handedly managing to make everyone think people with a Welsh accent were thick. That said, I love her. I really do.

8) Craig Phillips wins
In my mind, Craig could do no wrong. At all. Ever. Could it be something to do with his tendency to wear shorts with no pants? Maybe. I also fell for him a little more when he gave his prize money away to a needy young lady. Legend.

7) Jason Cowan - entrance
I was very hopeful that he would be my summer crush for that year. I was wrong.
6) Fight night
So much has been written about the rights and wrongs of the BB producers for creating such a tense atmosphere, so I won't bother. All I will say is that Emma shouldn't have been singled out to be removed from the house.

5) George Galloway - Cat

Still capable of making me go red with embarrasment, this has to be one of the best single moments of TV history. Poor George - will probably be rolled out every year on Big Brother round-up shows.

Random TV hotties #1

Scott Maslen - Eastenders

Matthew Fox - Lost

Jamie Lomas - Hollyoaks

Welcome to my TV blog!

Ok people, here it is...my attempt at Blogging.

Every year around this time, I always say that I am going to start a blog. Why? It's only because the start of Big Brother is around the corner, that's why. Big Brother is one of the Marmite shows of the day. You definitely either love it or hate it. Personally, I love it, but more on that later.

This blog is going to be about TV in general and not specifically Big Brother. I don't watch massive amounts of TV, but the shows I do watch, I usually have a very strong opinion on. I also intend to feature some pictures of TV's hottest stars, in a Heat 'Torso of the Week' stylee. Maybe that will keep you coming back?

So, what's on my radar for now? Well take a look at my top 5 recommended shows below:

  1. The Apprentice - don't miss it. It's about to reach its brilliant climax

  2. Dexter - We are on series 3 in the UK, but I only picked it up from series 2. So, I've just bought series 1. It's definitely worth doing the same if you haven't already. It gives some great background to the serial killer we all love to love.

  3. Desperate Housewives - One for the ladies (and the gays, obviously). About to reach the end of another excellent series.

  4. Air Crash Investigations - Morbid? Of course. And if you are a nervous flyer, this is not one for you. But I love it. I find it fascinating. Don't know why...maybe just remembering my cabin crew days and wishing something dramatic would happen to shake up the day a bit?!

  5. Fringe - If you were a fan of The X-Files (ask your mum), you cannot miss this. The joy of it is that you don't need to have seen the series from the start to get it. Each episode is self-contained awesomeness.

Anyway, thanks for joining me. I'll let you know via Facebook and Twitter when the blog is updated, but don't forget you can use the newsfeed options too.
